How to measure your toilet (60 seconds)

  1. Lift the seat lid. Measure from the seat-bolt centers at the rear to the front edge of the bowl.
  2. ~16″ = round. ~18″ = elongated. 99% of toilets are one of those two.
  3. Check the rear: two-piece toilets have easy reach behind the seat bolts; one-piece (skirted) rears can be tight — verify clearance in the model's fit chart.
  4. Match the seat, not your preference: round bowl → round-fit model; elongated → elongated-fit.

The take-aways

  • Best overall: Swash 1400 (9.1) — the most balanced feature-per-dollar seat in the set.
  • Wash-quality pick: BB-2000 (9.0) — the triple stainless nozzle + vortex wash is the hardware differentiator.
  • Hygiene/rank pick: Washlet C5 (8.9) — PREMIST + EWATER+ is the only real cleaning tech here.
  • No-compromises flagship: E930 (9.0) — UV, motion lid, app/voice; priced like a smart toilet, nearly as capable.
