Our DIY guides, install videos, and GFCI material explain how installs generally work; they are educational content, not instructions issued by a licensed contractor for your specific home. Electrical work — running new circuits, adding outlets, anything behind the wall — should be performed by a licensed electrician and inspected under your local code where required.
